Our Primary Maths worksheets and whiteboard resouces have been completely revised and updated to reflect the changes in the new national curriculum.
The site is now organised by mathematical strand; Number and Place Value, Addition and Subtraction, Multiplication and Division, Fractions, Measurement,
Geometry (Properties of shape) and
Geometry (Position and Direction). And every resource has a Performance Descriptor code
(developed by Standards and Testing Agency to replace NC levels) to help with your planning and assessment
The Year 3 curriculum is more demanding than the previous curriculum.
There is new content in Year 3 including: Counting in tenths, using formal written methods and adding/subtracting fractions.
You must practice times tables and number facts daily:
The objectives expect Year 3 pupils to know the multiplication and division facts for the 2, 5, 10, 3, 4 and 8 multiplication tables.
The programme of study is set out on a year-by-year basis.
There is an expectation that pupils will have mastered and remembered the previous year’s objectives. Learning Clip offers teachers the flexibility to easily revisit any objectives from previous years.
Levels are going.
Teachers will use Performance Descriptors (PD) to track pupils. Learning Clip includes the PD’s for every activity making assessing pupils’ achievements simple and reliable.
Learning Clip still offers lots of free resources.
You can now preview every interactive whiteboard resource or worksheet for free as often as you like. Many of the Year 3 activities and worksheets are free to registered users. Just click here for a full list of the free resources.
