The Year 2 curriculum is more demanding than the previous curriculum.
There is new content in Year 2 including: Using commutativity rules for calculating additions & multiplications, finding fractions of quantities and mentally adding units, tens or hundreds to 3 digit.
You must practice times tables and number facts daily:
The Year 2 objectives require pupils to know the multiplication and division facts for the 2, 5 and 10 multiplication tables and number bonds within 20
The programme of study is set out on a year-by-year basis.
There is an expectation that pupils’ will have mastered and remembered the previous year’s objectives. Learning Clip offers teachers the flexibility to easily revisit any objectives from previous years.
