Learning Clip + Learner Response Systems
The Voting enabled content has been wholly integrated into our standard Interactive
whiteboard activities and offers great potential for engaging pupils and enhancing
formative assesment.
Because everything takes place within the Learning Clip web site results from voting
sessions can be stored online as part of your Learning Clip account, over time building
into an excellent resource for assessing pupil progress.
Benefits
Stimulating use of technology - for children growing up in a world full of mobile phones and
games consoles, voting systems are a natural way to interact and communicate. Learning
tasks become games.
Encourages participation - every answer from every child counts and because each child
gets feedback they know their answers count. Children no longer try to put their hand up
the furthest because they're bursting to give their answer nor do less confident withold their
answers for fear of being seen to make an error.
Personalises Learning - each child's contribution is recognised, children can instantly gauge
their own levels of acheivement and then begin to invent their own targets taking
responsibility for their own learning.
Give equal attention to every answer - immediately identify those children who are not
participating, struggling or not being challenged enough.
Use time to the full - every time a single child puts their hand up to answer a question 29
others waste time.
Streamline and improve both formative and summative assessment - Learner response
takes care of marking providing instant feedback for teachers and students, making
students feel valued and giving teachers the time and information to target their efforts
to maximum effect.
