To use the Learning Clip Voting enabled resources you'll have to
install our Vote Manager Component.
Follow the steps below to get started.

Step 1. Download the correct Vote Manager Installer for your Voting Equipment &
Operating System
Activexpression & Activote 2.4 GHz |

Activote (2.4) was introduced during 2008, externally it is almost identical to the Activote
(legacy) but can be distinguished by the 2.4 logo at the top of the handset face. To use
the 2.4 you will need a 2.4 Activhub - a small black USB stick with a fold up aerial. |

Activexpression was introduced during 2008 and permits learners to respond in a variety
of ways including text and numeric entry as well as multiple choice. Learning Clip makes
use of the multiple choice capability of Activexpression. To use these handsets you will
need a 2.4 Activhub - a small black USB stick with a fold up aerial. |

Legacy Activote

| Activote (legacy) handsets were shipped until mid 2008 and over the years have been
produced in a variety of colours and under various names. The hub used by these
devices is either the Activboard or the legacy hub, which is connected to the PC via
USB and looks exactly like the voting handsets.

If you are intending to use both legacy and 2.4 GHz devices you will need to install both versions of the Vote Manager
Step 2. Connect an Activhub to your PC
Step 3. Double click the Vote Manager Installer icon to run vote-manager-setup.exe
Step 4.
Once the vote-manager-setup has completed it will offer the option to
launch the vote manager application. Select 'yes'.
Step 5.
The Votemanager will check that all the necessary conditions are met
in order to conduct a voting session using Learning Clip.
Step 6.
Minimise the Votemanager. It can be restored by clicking the
Votemanager icon in the task bar.
Note for users upgrading from earlier Vote Manager versions:
The installations available from this page
will overwrite any existing versions of the Vote Manager you have installed. Your
existing Voting Groups and handset assignments
will not be affected by these upgrades.
Earlier Votemanager versions
Users may if they wish use earlier (Beta) versions of the Learning Clip Votemanager.
Functionality and reliability of these versions is less than the recommended versions (see above). No technical
support is available for users of these versions and there is no guarantee they will remain compatible with the
Learning Clip resources indefinitely.
