We know how many metres Zero  G has run and how much time it has taken him. Can we use that information with multiplication or division to solve a problem.

Work through the steps to answer an addition question using a formal method. First partition the three digit numbers then add the columns of units, tens and hundreds. Finally recombine the totalled columns to calculate the answer.

Spin the wheel of times tables, when the wheel stops find the answer to the multiplication question. The activity has several levels covering the 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 times tables. The game can be played in two teams.

To complete the multiplication sum you have to use a formal grid method. The robot stops in turn by each square on the grid. Partition the numbers and use the keypad on the robot to fill each square. Then use the keypad to complete the sum.
